While this may appear to be a close up of the clouds of Jupiter, a close look will reveal some surprises A very thin crescent moon and Comet PanSTARRs can be found within the giant blueish-white band. Taken on March 11th, 2013, these strangely lit clouds are all Earth based, yet are thin enough to allow us to see objects outside of the atmosphere.
