Falling Sky is a composite taken from the Ice Castles in Steamboat Springs. The image was created by taking an HDR set of exposures of the ice structure, then moving the camera/tripod several feet to one side in order to record the same view of the night sky as you would see looking up at the ice structure. The two sets of images were then combined into the resulting image.
